Each Sunday gathering will usually go for 80-90 minutes starting at 10am.  We will sing, pray, hear the Bible read and taught, confess our faith, and host age-appropriate teaching for children.  At the conclusion of the service we will share life over food and refreshments.  

We believe Jesus Christ is the light of the world, we are learning to love like him, and seeking to be people of hope in the Molonglo.  

If you are investigating what church and Jesus is all about, we seek to be clear, accessible and friendly.  You won’t be pressured to participate in anything you’re not ready for.  We would love to give you a Bible for you to read in your own time. 

While the church and school are distinct organisations, they enjoy a strong, mutually supportive partnership.

Led by Principal Andy Gordon, Stromlo Forest Anglican College opened its doors to students at the beginning of 2026. The College has very much welcomed the presence of the church at the school. Principal Gordon was on the selection committee for the appointment of the pastor.

A church gathering outside of school hours is an opportunity for students and their families to either explore or deepen faith in an intergenerational community.

But you don’t have to be part of the school to join the church! This is a church for everyone in the Molonglo Valley and beyond.

St Peter’s Anglican Church in Weston (opposite Cooleman Court) has desired to see a new church in the Molonglo since residential development began.  They have planned and resourced the startup of this church.  St Peter’s has been a Christian presence in the Weston area since 1970.  

For the forseeable future, the new church will remain part of Weston Molonglo Anglican Churches for support and governance.  

Simply put, at the centre of Anglican belief is the good news (gospel) of Jesus Christ. He alone reconciles a person’s broken relationship to God by dying on the cross for our sins. After rising from the dead, he guaranteed our forgiveness, gifted us His Spirit, and has begun our transformation from the inside out, which will be completed at Christ’s return from heaven. Christians receive God’s salvation by trusting in this gracious offer held out to us.

The gospel is woven throughout the Bible, comprising of The Old and New Testaments. The Bible is the written Word of God, and is the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and living.

The Anglican Church originated in England. During the Reformation in the 16th century, it re-discovered key Biblical truths. It has packaged biblical truths into documents (known as formularies) that fortify our belief in the gospel and shapes our communities with the gospel.

‘The Book of Common Prayer’ provides Bible-saturated forms of personal and communal worship, as well as services for all of life’s big events.

‘The 39 Articles of Religion’ are carefully summarised statements of the Bible’s teaching to guide and guard what Jesus Christ has given to his people.

The patterns of worship and theology of these Anglican formularies still shape our church today. They are not replacements for Christ and the Bible, but are useful tools for our life together.

It is a beautiful place to live.  We enjoy being nestled in the natural surroundings.  Within the valley, we appreciate the many people who call it home, from the many nationalities represented, to the different life stages people are in.  We hope that the Molonglo develops further into the town centre many of us are excited to see.
